Opportunities for Men
The Upper Room focuses on helping enable men to explore their faith, grow spiritually, and develop a closer relationship with God. The variety of programs and activities offered year-round also provides wonderful opportunities for fellowship, the development of new friendships, and supportive personal relationships with other Christian men.
Our ministry to men recognizes that every man is at a different level of Christian maturity. We offer fellowship and spiritual growth opportunities that, no matter where they are on their individual faith journeys, every man will feel welcome and comfortable joining in our programs. We have learned that when men gather together in common purpose, they really do impact each others lives.
We're always looking for new ways to involve and include men. Please email us if you have ideas of opportunities we can offer.
Email us at info@upperroompa.org for more information.

Missional Opportunity. Serenity House is trying to organize a “Warming Station” for the homeless. The hope is to have the Street Outreach Shelter (SOS, the drop-in overnight shelter) open during the day. The success of this depends entirely on the availability of volunteers to supervise folks. A training and guideline packet will be provided. Volunteers can choose their hours. Contact Laurie
Kross, 452-5700 or 477-7122.

Outreach with Care Bags Care Bags were created this past summer by a group of people concerned about reaching out to those
in need. Care Bags are small brown paper bags that hold a protein item, peanut butter crackers, individual fruit packs, dessert (like a cookie or pudding), toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo and water. This winter we hope to include lotion, space blankets and socks. Needed for Care Bags: shampoo, soap, (hotel size), bottled water, also running low on tooth brushes, small sized toothpaste, socks and space blankets. You may drop these off at the Administration Center or at the WC Information Desk, marked “Care Bags.”
