Opportunities for Young Adults and Students
The Upper Room desires to provide opportunities for young adults and students associated with our church or residing in the surrounding areas. Our desire is to provide support and opportunities for spiritual growth, service, and fun fellowship.
We have a college Bible study that meets during the week and a High School and College age Sunday school classes that meet at 10am on Sunday morning on the IBC Worship Center Campus in the Family Life Center. Below are some other activities that are going on that are tailored for young adults and students. For High School age and below you can go to our Student Ministries of IBC website for more info. Please email us for more information or ideas you have to add other opportunities.

Up Coming Opportunities for Young Adults and Students
The clothes we are receiving from this body has been such a blessing to our community. Needed men’s jeans plus shoes for men, women and children. All gently used clothes are always welcome. Drop them off at W.C. foyer bin or at the Admin Center. Also needed: 1 to 2 people to work Wednesdays,10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Urgently Needed! Nursery workers needed during the Upper Room service on Sat. night. Background checks required. For more info call the IBC office at 452-1585.

Outreach with Care Bags Care Bags were created this past summer by a group of people concerned about reaching out to those
in need. Care Bags are small brown paper bags that hold a protein item, peanut butter crackers, individual fruit packs, dessert (like a cookie or pudding), toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo and water. This winter we hope to include lotion, space blankets and socks. Needed for Care Bags: shampoo, soap, (hotel size), bottled water, also running low on tooth brushes, small sized toothpaste, socks and space blankets. You may drop these off at the Administration Center or at the WC Information Desk, marked “Care Bags.”

Biblical IBC 2010 Couples Retreat This year we are encouraging couples to sign up for the Family Life Marriage Conference Family Life Weekend to Remember. It is Friday–Sunday, February 26–28, at the Empress in Victoria, BC. Register with IBC by January 31, $178 per couple plus hotel, meals and ferry cost. Some scholarships available. Financial Study . If you are interested in participating in an 11-week study on Wednesday evenings, 6–8 p.m. (same time as AWANA), February 3 – April 28, please sign the Information Card today, contact Tanya at the church office, 452-3351 or tanya@indbible.org. If we have at least eight interested people, we can hold the class. The Biblical Financial Study for Life Groups is a study of what Scripture teaches about money and possessions. Participants have confirmed that marriages are being strengthened and individuals are finding their way out of debt.
