Women in Ministry
Many might be wondering about "Women In Ministry"...It may not be what you envision. It's a Movement of God, not a program. We are actually what that says...we are women ministering through the power of the Spirit in any place and in any way that God leads. We are a group of women who've lived through much and whose stories are being used in an ever-growing Redemptive Community. Women in Ministry provides opportunities throughout the year for spiritual growth, use of spiritual gifts and body-life functions. These events come in the form of retreats, conferences, Bible studies and other events. Email us at info@upperroompa.org for more information.
Up Coming Opportunities for Women
The clothes we are receiving from this body has been such a blessing to our community. Needed men’s jeans plus shoes for men, women and children. All gently used clothes are always welcome. Drop them off at W.C. foyer bin or at the Admin Center. Also needed: 1 to 2 people to work Wednesdays,10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Urgently Needed! Nursery workers needed during the Upper Room service on Sat. night. Background checks required. For more info call the IBC office at 452-1585.
Our stock of supplies for the Care Bags is running low. We need bottled water, trial-sized shampoo, toothpaste and soap. Protein items such as peanut butter, cheese or tuna and crackers packages. Items may be dropped at the Admin. Center or the Care Bag bins located in the WC and FLC foyers. Please label your bags of donations.

Missional Opportunity. Serenity House is trying to organize a “Warming Station” for the homeless. The hope is to have the Street Outreach Shelter (SOS, the drop-in overnight shelter) open during the day. The success of this depends entirely on the availability of volunteers to supervise folks. A training and guideline packet will be provided. Volunteers can choose their hours. Contact Laurie

Outreach with Care Bags Care Bags were created this past summer by a group of people concerned about reaching out to those
in need. Care Bags are small brown paper bags that hold a protein item, peanut butter crackers, individual fruit packs, dessert (like a cookie or pudding), toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo and water. This winter we hope to include lotion, space blankets and socks. Needed for Care Bags: shampoo, soap, (hotel size), bottled water, also running low on tooth brushes, small sized toothpaste, socks and space blankets. You may drop these off at the Administration Center or at the WC Information Desk, marked “Care Bags.”
